How it Started.......Bowman has this great facility that was built in 2004 and has been used frequently but not for big events. One weekend we were at a race in Rapid City and I thought I would step off the dirt area of the building. After a short and very short thought process I came to the conclusion that Bowman’s dirt area was roughly the same size as Rapid’s. After that I kind of left it on the back burner. Mid way through the 2008 Mondak racing season, I brought the thought process back up again, mainly because all I heard toward the ending of the season was “where are we going to ride this winter, all we have is Rapid City once a month?” So with some more thought I had to have someone’s help. I knew a little about motocross-arena cross but not enough to make this work and definitely not enough to build a track. That’s where Rick Dittus came in, no other person in this area is as enthusiastic as he about motocross. After a few phone calls and my gears grinding for days I decided to get up enough guts to ask Rick if he was willing to be partners in a little business promoting arena cross. It didn’t take him long to say yes and that is what sparked the fire in Start 2 Finish Promotions.—Justin Abrahamson
Since are first race in March of 2009 we have learned a lot especially what to and not to do. We have came up with this conclusion “We are for the riders they are the ones that make this happen,” with that being said we will continue to improve our operations, atmosphere and venue until we have every racer that has attended our events leaving with a priceless memory.
Rick Dittus:

My name is Rick Dittus. Shortly after graduating in Miles City, Mt, I moved around and returned back in 1996 to start a construction business. Started racing motocross in 1986 and had a pro license from 1997 to 2002. In 1998, started instructing mx schools in this area and became involved with forming Mon Dak racing association in 2003. Other accomplishments are Miles City 5 time track of the year, 6 rider of the year awards, area pro championships, and16th place lites finish in Canadian national. I enjoy everything about this sport and those involved with it.
Justin Abrahamson:
My name Justin Abrahamson. Born and raised most of my life in Bowman, ND. It is where I call home. I became married to my beautiful and loving wife Angie, right after I graduated fromBowman High School in 1999. We along with my oldest son Riley, moved to spearfish to start a college education. During college we added to our family with another boy, Bradley, After finding out there was a restaurant for sale back in my home town we moved back to Bowman to become business owners. After running Big J’ s for 5 years I decided to purchase another restaurant, JaBBR’ s. In 2008 we added our final member to the family Brodey. After adding to the family I decided that 2 restaurants were not going to work out so in the spring of 2010 I sold Big J’ s and set my focus on JaBBR’ s. In 2007 when I bought my two boys motorcycles I was introduced to “ The MX Family.”
